Intense Pulse Light (IPL) Pigment Removal Treatment

Case ID: 2363

Individual results may vary.

Case Details

IPL is used to remove pigment (brown) caused by sun damage or other trauma to the skin that causes the collection of melanocytes to that area.  IPL can also be used to reduce redness caused by broken superficial capillaries.  In this instance, pigment was targeted.  Often when the brown pigment is removed, the underlying broken capillaries (redness) become apparent.  In this case, treatment of the broken capillaries with either IPL or a 1064 NDYag laser is recommended.
